Preference Fields

The Preference Fields page lists all of the preference fields and their values, so they can be reviewed and published. Preference fields act much like global variables that are used across your solution—they might include simple text fields like Company Name and Administrator Email Address, or boolean fields like Allow Request Duplication. You can update preference field values in the preferences pages described below (that is., Admin Overview, Request Schema, etc).

When you make a change to preference values, you must return to the Setup page to mark it for publish and then publish the solution. Similar to modules, changes to preferences will only be in build until the solution is published.

Note about Localization of Preference Values

When localization is enabled, preference text is served from translation versions and may not be reflected in the UI until a new translation version is generated.
