Preferences - Requester Information
The requester information step collects details about who the request is for, including whether the request is submitted on behalf of another user and who should be added as watchers. Use the Requester Information preference page to control how this step displays, which module handles it, and which additional questions it includes.
Show the Requester Information as a standalone step
If selected, the Requester Information screen is displayed as a standalone step in the intake process.
If not selected, requester information displays as part of the initial screen.
This setting is also available on the Initial Screen preference page. Changes made in either location are reflected in both.
Request Information Module
Select the module that handles the requester information step.
This is a core module, configured to use the Solution Preferences. Overriding a core module may cause some Preference configurations to become obsolete. Update with caution.
Module Settings
Configure the default Requester Information module.
These settings only apply when Request Information Module is set to the default Requester Information module.
Requester Information Intake Title
Enter the title that displays on the requester information intake screen. If left blank, the title defaults to "Edit Details."
Dynamic Form ID
Enter the form ID of the dynamic form questions to include in the requester information step, in addition to the standard on-behalf-of and watchers fields. If left blank, the form ID defaults to "Requester."
Dynamic form questions and their form IDs are configured on the Dynamic Form Questions preference page.
Request Information Pre-Fill Variant
Select a module that pre-fills the requester's information based on your connected systems. For example, a pre-fill module might populate the requester's department or cost center from your HR system.
Allow recalculating defaults when on behalf of user changes?
If selected, any fields defaulted based on the requester are recalculated when the on-behalf-of user changes. For example, if a requester submits a request on behalf of a colleague, fields like department are updated to reflect the colleague's information.
This setting only applies when a Request Information Pre-Fill Variant is defined.
