Preferences - Request Logging

The Request Logging Preference page enables you to configure the scheduled or process-driven export of request data. For example, you might configure your solution to export requests to an external data source (like an Excel spreadsheet) when a request reaches “Done” status.

Allow send request to external sources

Select whether to allow Tonkean to send request data to an external data source.

Export Cadence

Select the export cadence:

  • Every 12 hours

  • Every 1 day

  • Every 7 days

Request Exporter Module Variant

Select the module variant (or custom module) that contains the export logic.

Create and Configure Export Rules

To create and configure export rules, follow the steps below:

  1. In the Export Rules table, scroll to the bottom of the table and select the Create Row button, preference-table-create-row.png. The Create Row window displays.

  2. Configure by entering values for the relevant fields:

    Remember, you can select the insert field button, insert_field.png, to add dynamic values.

    1. Name (Required) - Enter a descriptive name for the export rule.

    2. Description - Enter a description for the export rule.

    3. Conditions - Define the conditions for when to export request data.

  3. When finished, select Create. Your export rule is added.

Add Fields to Export

To add fields to export, follow the steps below:

  1. In the Fields to Export table, scroll to the bottom of the table and select the Create Row button, preference-table-create-row.png. The Create Row window displays.

  2. Configure by entering values for the relevant fields:

    Remember, you can select the insert field button, insert_field.png, to add dynamic values.

    1. Name (Required) - Enter the field’s name.

    2. Header Name - Optionally, enter a header name.

    3. Value - Select the insert field button and enter the schema key for the field to export.

    4. Include in Export Conditions - Define the conditions that determine when the field is included in the scheduled report.

    5. Sort Order - Enter a numerical value to determine the sort order, where the low number is first.

  3. When finished, select Create. Your field to export is added.
